Category information

Individual Time Trial counts for the Tour de Batam General Classification
Cyclists start in 30-seconds intervals.
Individual Time Trial equipment rules are the same as for the Gran Fondo Classic i.e. time trial bikes, aero helmets, disc wheels and aero-bars are not allowed.

Total Distance: 149km (Men) / 129km
Total Elevation: 1300m
Start venue: Palm Spring Beach
Finish venue: Barelang Bridge

Qualifier for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championship – Road Race.

Category information

Cyclists start in multiple wave starts based on their age category.
Time interval between wave starts is 8 minutes.
Age categories may be combined in one wave start.
Cyclists must start in their allocated start (Cyclists starting earlier are disqualified. Cyclists starting later are not disqualified, but keep their original start time.)
Cyclists caught by a peloton of a different category or gender are
allowed to ride in that peloton.
Cyclists’ results and start times are based on the gun time of their wave start.
The Gran Fondo Classic counts towards the Tour de Batam General Classification.

Cut-off times & points

Cyclists will have to complete the ride on 20km/hr average to make the intermediate cut-off points
Cyclists who have not passed the cut-off points at prescribed times must abandon the race:
- Intermediate cut-off points and times will be announced closer to date
Cyclists who finish later than 15:06 will not be ranked in the results.

Saturday | 82km GRAN FONDO CHALLENGE

The Gran Fondo Challenge, although timed, is non-competitive. All finishers receive a medal, but no trophies or prizes are awarded to winners.

Sunday | 104km GRAN FONDO CENTURY

The Gran Fondo Century is part of the Tour de Batam Package and Gran Fondo Double Package. Cyclists must sign up for the packages to take part.
